Premium rates apply only for true middle-of-the-night work between 10pm and 6am. We’ll tell you which rate applies on the phone before we commit to anything, so there’s never a surprise on the invoice.

If it’s blocking access, sitting on a structure, or posing an immediate safety risk — that’s an emergency. Specific examples: tree on the roof, tree across the driveway, tree on a car, large limb hanging over a walkway or entry, partially uprooted tree leaning toward the house.

If a tree is down in the back yard and not touching anything critical, that’s still a priority job — but it can often be assessed and scheduled same-day rather than responded to within the hour. When in doubt, call us and describe what you’re seeing. We’ll tell you honestly whether it needs an immediate response or whether morning works fine.

We can help you document the damage and provide invoices your insurance company can use, but we work directly with you — not as an insurance contractor. You pay us and submit the claim yourself.

For coverage questions, the general rule is this: if a tree falls on a covered structure (your house, your car), your homeowner’s or auto policy usually covers the removal and damage. If a tree falls in the yard and doesn’t hit anything, most policies won’t cover the removal cost. Your agent is the right person to confirm what your specific policy covers — we’d recommend calling them the same day.

In order: get everyone out of the affected area first. Stay away from the section of the house the tree is resting on — the load can shift. Then call us.

Regular (non-emergency) hours are Monday–Friday 7am–7pm and Saturday 7am–5pm. For anything outside those hours, call the main line — it reaches us directly, not a call center.

If a healthy tree snapped a major limb in a storm, the remaining tree may be worth keeping and the limb removal is all you need. If the root ball is significantly compromised, or the remaining structure is unsound, we’ll tell you that — and recommend removing the rest before it becomes the next emergency.
